Devin Desu: I think the way that we’re handling crime is inadequate.

As far as Covid goes, it is indeed getting worse with the multiple strains and mutations of it right now, but it could be easily fixed if people would all just get on the same page and truly get serious about tackling this virus.

Surprisingly we have people that are blatantly against any sort of safety measures and that’s shocking.

And while nobody likes crime, I think the way that we’re handling crime is inadequate, and though there are small changes being made (some of them for the worse due to pushback and opposition of legislation meant to lead to people actually being treated equally), but we already knew (as far as injustice and police brutality goes) things were going to get worse before they would get better. Unfortunately.

Skyler Cocco: We’ve seen so many people “wake up” and take a stance against racial injustice and broken systems

In general I think the pandemic allowed everyone to reevaluate their lives and what they stand for. We’ve seen so many people “wake up” and take a stance against racial injustice and broken systems in the US specifically. The pandemic also allowed for so many people to take a moment to ask themselves if they are truly living a meaningful life/what they really want to spend their time doing. It’s beautiful to see so many people discovering themselves and finding communities, and I’m not sure we would be seeing that had the world not taken a pause.
