I don’t think the world is in a very good place since everyone has been affected by covid in a sense. covid sparked higher crime, since people are more irritable and hateful. i think the divide politically is terrible, everyone is trying to prove how “right” they are in a sense without thinking of how it affects everyone around them. i really think everyone is more independent and self reliant since last year due to covid and the election, but i dont really think thats a good thing. individuals make up society, society is run by the people as a whole, not just a bunch of individual voices. but in saying that individuality isn’t terrible as long as it doesn’t cost someone else pain and hurt. (dont mistake pain and hurt for preference though)
Some people don’t deserve to be here with all respect We as a society can be sooo much better if we were all aware that racism is still a big obstacle and that our planet is going to shit With COVID it’s settling down a bit but not enough and those people who died will be a reminder of how fucked we could be when we are unprepared.
I think that everyone handles world changes and stress differently, especially something as life changing as COVID-19. I do think this pandemic opened people’s eyes involving physical and mental health. In the last year more people have been opening up about their struggles and trying to better themselves. As a society we have a long way to go, but I think we could definitely be moving in the right direction.
Personally i think this era is kind of a blessing and a curse for people around the world. On one hand its brought out some of the best in people, forcing us to use our creativity and innovation in a pndemic era. On the other hand, time at home seems to given a lot of people the excuse to focus on things that don’t matter. At least from what I have seen in the US, most people have invested their extra time in social media and have become overly involved in other people lives, people they don’t even know. In no way do I think social media is a bad thing, in fact i think it’s quite the opposite as I am someone who uses instagram to promote my creative work as a videographer. It does become a problem when it is the only thing that matters to you and it is providing you no income or opportunity to be a productive member of society. People spend hours scrolling through tik tok starting arguments and worrying about what their favorite creator is eating this morning instead of bettering themselves or picking up a new hobby. I think that if everyone in the world focused on their selves and becoming a well rounded person then a lot of the social problems we r having today would be solved that being said, this is just my opinion and take this with a grain of salt because there are certainly some days that i spend laying in bed on tik tok all day.
I think the human being is flawed… We need to evolve mentally to be able to live as a truly prosperous society. I don’t think the problem is in a system or another (example: capitalism or communism) but we characters I think that human beings are naturally selfish animals, they only think about He thinks mainly about his own good and the good of his family. When we realize that when other people are fine, we and our family will also be fine, we will use this selfishness to produce the solution.
i think that our general society seems to be losing its morals slowly and it’s quite terrifying but, to invoke a change everyone would need to contribute in some way
people today are… as all humans… evolving. Nothing ever stays the same or lasts long enough to really give a exact description of society today. it’s a complex system. one day it seems like we are going to be okay, other days I lose hope in us all.
We are a horrible society if we allow dumbass’ to tell us what days are okay to rape kill kidnap people … none of this should be okay to even be considered as a national day. I’m scared to leave my house just because of how stupid societies minds are these days
If we are talking society wise I feel we as a society says such saw high standards that we all seem to complain about but we are society and I find society ourselves makes us want to set those high standards but because we do that we set our own selves to a higher standard to overcome what society thinks we are even though we are society we should say our own standards we shouldn’t let anything else say what we are who we should be yeah if you want to like give me a certain question and I can answer it a lot better
I walked into school with a bandanna on and a black girl next to me walked in with a headband that kind of looks like a bandanna. They let me in but told her she had to take it off, saying it was associated with gang violence. Not dress code violations, gang violence. That was racist. That doesn’t make the school racist. Even if multiple people have had this experience, that makes that teacher racist, not the school. America doesn’t have systematic racism, it has racist people. If I go to a cvs and one of the employees are being sexist, that doesn’t make all cvs’s sexist, it makes that person sexist and they deserve to be fired. Cancel culture has gotten out of hand and needs to be controlled.
